We are committed to continuing to deliver school workshops, training programmes and heritage projects whilst adhering to government advice regarding Coronavirus. We have adapted our usual provision in response and will proactively adapt to school specific risk assessments and operating procedures.
Heritage and Schools
We have over 45 years combined experience of preparing and delivering learning and engagement in museums and historic properties.
We work with a range of heritage organisations in supporting staff and volunteers in their aspirations to understand and inspire audiences.
We deliver hands-on history sessions to schools. An exciting history resource and enrichment service, we use historic and replica objects to enhance history teaching in the classroom. We build pride of place through our local history learning.
Jane McArdle and Rachel Hunter Rowe are Mrs History
Mrs History is committed to continually evaluating our workshops to ensure they acknowledge and address the diversity of people and cultures in history. In delivering our workshops we strive to cultivate an inclusive dialogue around these stories and discuss how they inform our world today.
We welcome all activity that seeks to comprehensively include the teaching of black history in the curriculum and therefore provide accurate representation of black lives in British history. Until this happens we will encourage and enable students to actively enquire about and explore the experience of people whose stories are under-represented in history.
We bring history to you.
